Turn to 400 – The Fighting Fantasy documentary film by Sean Riley — Kickstarter.

Well, it’s a shame this great documentary didn’t make the grade. Like a lot of good ideas,  sometimes crowdfunding fails to deliver the goods in terms of getting the cash one needs to make something a reality.

I would have really liked to watch this, and I had imagined that I would end up seeing it on Channel 4 or similar eventually.

Better luck next time, and I do hope there will be a next time.

I remember how eagerly I waited to spend my pocket money as a kid on choose your own adventure books, especially Fighting Fantasy books. I’m sure that it”s not just me when I say that they were a big part of growing up and some of my inspiration in the hobby.

This Kickstarter by Sean Riley, hopes to document the FF craze and it’s creators Ian Livingstone and Steve Jackson.

I hope that it gets funded, but there’s only 6 days left, so I’ll cross my fingers and hope.
