31 Oct

I’m back briefly to give you the link to the latest episode of The Walking dead. As the crisis continues to escalate at the prison, and Daryl’s group find more than they bargain for whilst on the way to get medical supplies….

THE WALKING DEAD S04E03 – Isolation – Watch Online For Free on TubePlus.

Talking Dead accompanying this weeks show really had me amazed at how mashed Marilyn Manson was! Honestly, he’s really off his tits and almost incoherent. Somehow I don’t think they’ll be inviting him back in the future! It’s pretty funny though….

Zomtober: Week #4: Roving TV News crew.

27 Oct

Zombtober

So, I lead you to my last entry in Zomtober, rather than the usual hordes of dead things, I thought I’d make a little change and shake things up a bit by painting up some survivors instead.

This lot is from Irregular Miniatures in their 15mm Riot range (of which I have a lot of in my paint queue, you know rioters, cops, mounted riot police, dogs, etc) and is perfect for any zombie related skirmish scenarios as either a objective marker or even a crew looking to get the latest scoop on the biggest news story of their lives!

I love the way they have turned out, i’m still in two minds to if it was best to base them together, maybe it would have been a better idea to have them separate (Good thing is that they are cheap as chips, so I’ll maybe get a couple more sets to use too)

If your after these figures, get on over to Irregular Miniatures and have a look at their stuff, very reasonable and great service too!!

Zomtober is now over, but since I’m in a bit of a routine, you might see a bit more painting out of me (If time permits…)

Hope you enjoyed.

Catch you later.

Grinning Skull at the Movies: horror movie news…..

27 Oct

Ok, so it’s nearly that time of year, so I thought I’d enlighten you on some upcoming horror movie news. If you haven’t gathered already, I am a big horror nut,  and I do like to keep up with what’s coming out, so I don’t miss out on some cool films (well, some are cool, some are appalling, you just never know until you watch them!)

So here’s some snippets of news, to get your teeth into….

ARNOLD SCHWARZENEGGER TO STAR IN NEW ZOMBIE MOVIE!

In a weird move, Arnie has apparently signed up to play the father of a teenager infected with the zombie virus. the film Maggie will tell the tale of this tragic transformation and its effects on a family. Lets face it, this could be shit, but Arnie Vs Zombies has far more appeal than Brad Shitt ever did! Roll on Legend of Conan, that’s all I say!!

Ash Williams

ARMY OF DARKNESS 2 (EVIL DEAD 4/EVIL DEAD 2 REMAKE), AND THE RETURN OF ASH!!

From the end of the Evil Dead remake, we knew there was something good to come from good old Bruce Cambell, and this end credits cameo and now confirmed news that he will indeed reprise his role as Ash in the sequel to both the original trilogy and strangely the new remake, how thats going to be dealt with in this mash up is anyone’s guess, but I don’t mind, I have a feeling it’s going to get groovy….

HELLRAISER REMAKE BOTH CLIVE BARKER AND DOUG BRADLEY CONFIRMED INVOLVEMENT!

Also confirmed is that the remake of Hellraiser will be written and directed by Clive Barker himself and feature none other than Doug Bradley as the main cenobite, Pin head. Happy days!

THE WALKING DEAD: Season 4, episode 2: Infected

24 Oct

In a strange way, art has been imitating life in my family, indeed most of us are actually infected (plus kids with chicken pox and temperatures), and not only do I have an unspecified knee injury, but I have been struck with a mystery flu, not unlike the gang over on this weeks TWD.

If you haven’t seen this weeks episode, check out Tube plus for it.

Zomtober: Week #3. Better late than never….

24 Oct

Zombtober

Ok, Ok, so I am quite a tad late with this weeks zomtober entry. Real life gets in the way of any hobbyist persuit and while I have had ample chance to get access to my computer, I’m currently dosed with the flu, a damaged knee and aching bones.

Never the less, I did manage to get a couple of likkle zomers done (excuse the pics, they are just ok, not great)

As usual, I’m working through the old glory/blue moon manufacturing 15mm zombies I got a while back.

This time, we have the first crawler type I have in the horde, which I’ve made a bit more bloodied and gruesome, and the bare chested one which I adopted an easy brown/pale flesh gradient with minimal highlights. Easy and effective (plus saves messing around with tons of different pots of colour open etc)

I will be back with the last entry, all being well, on time on Sunday.

Later!
