40K 8th Ed Army: Deathguard: Chaos cultists: CP Models Sci-fi Trenchers.

16 Jun

So on goes my quest to get my 8th Edition 40K army finished, and this time it’s my first unit of deathguard chaos cultists. These figures (of which so far consist of 12 models) come from CP Models in their Sci-fi Trench warfare range, and are a mix of both Brits & Germans.

You can find them here yourself if you want to peruse TRENCH WARFARE: CP MODELS

My thinking was, these lot once were fighting a prolonged war against each other, then with the influence of chaos to their world, my deathguard lot came along and showed them another way, and thus they became indoctrinated into following Nurgle through disease, suffering and poison gas.

You’ll notice that the duplicated German with the chainsword was a simple conversion using a chaos marine part, just to change it up a bit to signify the leader.

I kept the scheme in the same tones as my plague marine unit and tank, so they’d fit the aesthetic.

I do have five additional models to add, but these are made up from Wargames Factory scifi germans and gripping beast? (I think) saracens. They fit the look pretty close, and add some additional bodies to the fight. (I will post when they are done)

Your going to find that my cultists are quite an eclectic bunch. My other units are made up from a random mix of masked nutters, and robed zealots from a variety of companies. These lot I’d had for ages, but never put them to any use.

Anyway, let me know what you think, and I’ll be back later with my possible temporary poxwalker shamblers (possibly that is, but I’ll show them anyway!)

Just a quick post to let you know about the latest releases from Grinning Skull studios over on Wargame Vault. in a departure from the usual fantasy fare, I thought it was time to add to our back catalogue of publications with some real world historical stuff.

It’s been over 100 years since the Great war started, so to commemorate this we have released three sets of accessory packs to add detail to your WW1 wrgaming scenery and dioramas.

First is WW1 British propaganda posters, followed by WW1 German propaganda posters, and finally WW1 American propaganda posters. all these are scaled to 28mm, but can be used with other scales by adjusting the print output.

These are followed by the first two of our WW2 series, with WW2 British Propaganda posters and WW2 German propaganda posters, again scaled to 28mm.
