Arisen from the ashes….we’re back!! You can’t keep a good skull down!

28 Jan

Well, hello everyone. Finally we’re back!

Just a quick post. My apologies to all of you for the brief break, it would seem like the WordPress people have seen fit to unsuspend the blog (following all that S-E-M-A-L-T nonsense) and see things for how they actually are.

Ok, maybe all that talk really didn’t do me any favours overall, but at least the good folks here finally had a look and gave me the all clear. I won’t be speaking of them (thou who will not be named) and I’ve deleted the last post concerning them, so there’s no problem.

Thanks for all the concern (and I breathe a sigh of relief to know my blog’s work isn’t all lost!) and I look forward to writing more posts that (hopefully) you’ll enjoy!

Will

    Hi Will,
I hope you don’t get upset with me or think I am trying to beat a dead horse. I’m not sure what happened, did your blog get shut down over the s e m a l t thing or what?
I wanted to contact you because I read more about botnets and thought you might want to know more, too.
Below is a clip from microsoft – please note the reference to ‘zombies’. I honestly think that company is a bunch of criminals. I’m not a guru so I don’t know what they might be up to or how they are going about it but my womanly intuition is telling me that the person who contacted you is laughing at you and at all of us. The fact that he referenced a ‘friend’ who is interested in zombies is just too much to swallow when botnets use our computers as ‘zombies’.
    From Microsoft.com:

    “What is a botnet?

The term bot is short for robot. Criminals distribute malware (malicious software) that can turn your computer into a bot, also called a zombie. When this occurs, your computer can perform automated tasks over the Internet without your knowledge.

Criminals typically use bots to infect large numbers of computers. These computers form a network, or a botnet.

Botnets can be used to send out spam email messages, spread viruses, attack computers and servers, and commit other kinds of crime and fraud. If your computer becomes part of a botnet, it might slow down and you might be inadvertently helping criminals.”

This is not the only place they reference ‘zombies’. I apologize, as I said, for beating a dead horse, but I seriously think there is more to this than meets the eye. I’m going to try and make sure my computer doesn’t have any malware but that’s not such an easy task.

    Thanks and good luck!

    Daphne

Thanks Daphne, I’ll be popping up a post later about the reason why I got suspended, which is semalt related, more to my stupidity really and the fact they are getting classed as spammers! (I’ll tell you later!!)
